Frasers Property Unveils Full Sustainability Vision at Sustainability Expo 2022, Highlighting One Bangkok as a World-Class Green Prototype
Frasers Property has unveiled its vision and commitment to sustainability for "One Bangkok," a comprehensive real estate project with the highest quality standards and the largest in the heart of Bangkok, along with "The Park," a premium mixed-use project, for the first time at the Sustainability Expo 2022 (SX 2022), the largest sustainability event in ASEAN. The exhibition featured a multimedia display in the Better Community zone on the G floor, along with discussions on the topics "Shaping the Future of Cities, Changing Our Future" and "A Place for All – One Bangkok’s Sustainable Public Realm" from September 26 to October 2, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Worawart Srisuan, Deputy CEO of the One Bangkok project, stated, "We are very pleased to be a main sponsor of the Sustainability Expo 2022, as we have a vision and commitment to developing real estate projects that prioritize the environment and society, as well as being part of the community that contributes to creating a better future. This is presented through exhibitions and discussions about One Bangkok, which delve into the sustainable development of the project, including the development of public spaces, with the goal of growing alongside Bangkok with world-class urban development standards."

One Bangkok introduces a world of learning with three main pillars of sustainable development for the project, which include:
• Social sustainability, as the project is designed to include over 80,000 square meters of green public space, accounting for 50% of the total project area, to connect people, the city, and nature. It features 3-meter-wide pedestrian walkways that stretch over 5 kilometers, shaded by trees, along with public art integrated into the walking paths. All of this aims to encourage people to live outside, meet others, exercise, and breathe fresh air for better physical and mental health.
• Economic sustainability, through the creation of a project that uses resources efficiently and effectively, as well as enhancing management efficiency by incorporating modern technology to reduce costs. Additionally, well-designed buildings and public spaces will lead to improved quality of life and work for individuals, positively impacting personal, community, and the overall Thai economy.
• Environmental sustainability in all dimensions, such as the architectural design of buildings and walls with insulation and insulated glass that can block up to 75% of heat from sunlight while allowing natural light in, smart lighting systems controlled via applications, recycling wastewater and harvesting rainwater for use, which can reduce water consumption by more than 2.7 million cubic meters per year, and flood resilience designed for a 500-year flood level with water retention areas and systems to prevent flooding in the project and reduce flooding issues in surrounding communities.

The One Bangkok booth also showcased three visions for creating a future city, which include: 1. Understanding the needs of people (People Centric) by developing projects that prioritize people's needs; 2. Elevating sustainability (Green Sustainability) as the first project in Thailand built according to the LEED for Neighborhood Development Platinum standard and WELL certification for the health and well-being of residents and building users; 3. Living smart (Smart City Living) by providing a perfect smart city living experience, such as contactless systems, the One Bangkok mobile application, advanced public utilities, traffic management, and security, all designed to enhance people's lives and support sustainable project operations in the long term.

Additionally, the presentation included construction concepts that reduce environmental impact and promote a circular economy, such as reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 29,000 tons, equivalent to 3.2 million trees from the construction process, including recycling 92% of construction waste for reuse and recycling, such as using concrete waste from pile caps and leftover lightweight bricks from construction to produce precast wall panels used in the project, as well as separating food waste to convert it into fertilizer.

Another key highlight is the presentation of the world-class "master plan" of the project, showcasing new standards in design, quality, environmental sustainability, and smart city living. It includes five premium-grade A office buildings, four retail zones, five luxury and lifestyle hotels, and three luxury residential buildings, with a focus on accessibility and convenient transportation. The project connects to the MRT Blue Line at Lumpini Station, making it easy to access all points of the project, with six access points from Witthayu Road and Rama IV Road, including a direct connection to the Rama IV expressway.

Two special discussions were held at the SX Stage in Hall 2, including:
• "Shaping the Future of Cities, Changing Our Future" - a platform for exchanging views and experiences in developing green open spaces for the public sustainably at the policy level of each sector and creating connections at the network level among various agencies. The discussion featured Worawart Srisuan, Deputy CEO of One Bangkok, representatives from Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the Netherlands Embassy, and Chama Co., Ltd., experts in environmental landscape design, on September 30, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
• "A Place for All – One Bangkok’s Sustainable Public Realm" - a deep dive into the design concepts and commitment to developing public spaces of the One Bangkok project under the principles of sustainability, economy, society, and environment, including ideas on art and culture to create valuable public spaces for the community and the city, presented by the management team of One Bangkok and P Landscape Co., Ltd. on October 1, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM.
Additionally, visit the exhibition booth for "The Park," a premium mixed-use lifestyle project that has received LEED Gold Version 4 certification, the latest standard for green buildings, and aims for WELL Certification, a global design standard to enhance the health and well-being of building users, promoting the concept of LIVE GREEN, LIVE WELL, "Join us in separating waste, turning waste into value" with a comprehensive waste management system for the environment and hygiene of building users and visitors.
Special gifts and prizes from One Bangkok and gift cards from The Park Life will be available for participants at the Frasers Property booth.
